Earthquake and Tsunami, doomsday destruction in Japan
A 7.6-magnitude earthquake injured 21 people in Japan, and a tsunami warning was issued.
The 33-foot-tall killer tsunami triggered by the earthquake engulfed several cities. A preliminary estimate of property damage is 10 billion British pounds.
A tsunami warning has been issued in Japan. This warning is issued for Yamagata, Nigata. It said the tsunami could also affect the Noto area of Ishikawa district. Japan’s local media reported that the warning was issued after the earthquake.
Magnitude 7.6 earthquake hits central Japan

The epicenter of Wednesday’s quake was 55 miles (89 km) from the devastating 2011 quake that triggered a tsunami with 30-foot waves that damaged several nuclear reactors in the area. More than 22,000 people were killed or missing in the disaster. Deaths were caused by initial earthquakes and tsunamis and health conditions following disasters. Strong earthquake shocks were felt in Japan’s Izu Island on Monday.

According to the US Geological Survey, the magnitude of the earthquake at 4:49 am was recorded at 6.3 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was at 29.000 North latitude and 139.3466 East longitude and at a depth of 409.088 km from the Earth’s surface. Currently, there is no report of any loss of life or property due to the earthquake.
The warning has been issued for the Japanese prefectures of Niigata, Toyama, Yamagata, Fukui and Hyogo located on the Sea of Japan.
Toyama City in Toyama Prefecture reported tsunami waves of 80 centimeters high at 4:35 p.m. The city of Kashiwazaki in Niigata Prefecture reported a 40-centimeter tsunami at 4:36 p.m.
The tsunami is reaching the coast of the Sea of Japan. Tsunami waves will repeatedly hit the coast and may become even higher.
People in these areas need to evacuate immediately. Be alert and take shelter on high ground.
